Latest update on Covid-19 dynamics in Jiangsu province

On December 4, twenty-nine locally transmitted cases of Covid-19 (two in Wuxi, two in Xuzhou, 12 in Suzhou, six in Nantong, two in Lianyungang, one in Huaian, one in Yancheng, two in Taizhou, and one in Suqian) were confirmed and registered in Jiangsu province.

Five hundred and forty-six local asymptomatic carriers (78 in Nanjing, 29 in Wuxi, 54 in Xuzhou, 42 in Changzhou, 69 in Suzhou, 31 in Nantong, 28 in Lianyungang, 24 in Huaian, 24 in Yancheng, 31 in Yangzhou, 41 in Zhenjiang, 30 in Taizhou, and 65 in Suqian) were newly reported in the province.

Two inbound confirmed cases and 11 symptomless cases were reported in the province.

Fifty-eight hospitalized Covid-19 patients were discharged, while 501 asymptomatic carriers (480 local and 21 inbound) were released from medical observation.

Three hundred and eleven confirmed cases (291 local and 20 inbound) are still undergoing treatment at designated hospitals, while 4,522 asymptomatic carriers (4,447 local and 75 inbound) are currently under medical observation in isolation.

As of this update, China's list of virus transmission zones stands at 38,140 high-risk and 2,047 low-risk areas.
